My scheme to find Alex a camera that she would carry has finally paid off. That's not to say that she's always the one who carries it, but at least it gets taken along. Most of the pictures on this site are hers, and she edited all of them. We claim copyright ownership in each. The camera is a digital ELPH, that is, a Canon Powershot s330. Their official page is at www.powershot.com/powershot2/s330/index.html (don't forget to come back!) We brought a spare battery and a second memory card of about 50 Mb, and, being able to charge the batteries a couple of times, felt no constraints at all on our picture-taking. More memory (and a better understanding of the camera's default settings) would have allowed us to take more pictures at a higher resolution, and if we'd known the joys of using the stitch-assist program we could have had some truly spectacular panoramas. As it is, there's a lot more material than is actually reasonable to put on a personal web page. Not all the pictures we have appear on the web site. All the pictures on the site appear in the list, but not all those pictures are referred to in the narrative. And it's still under construction. If you see mistakes, have questions or comments, write to us here. |
