In May of 1997 my wife, Alex, and I flew to Athens and then traveled
to a couple of islands among the Cyclades, then on to Istanbul.
I took the digital camera that I had bought with this trip in
mind, and brought back about fifty pictures from Greece. I will
not include all of them here (you probably know what the Parthenon
looks like as well as I do) but will show about a dozen of the
particular places that we went. There is a self-guided tour
